So. We are being offered a 20ft travei trailer for $250. It's partially gutted - doesn't have refrigerator, stove or sink. The bathroom, I'm told, is intact, and the electrical is there and functioning. As long as these things are true, we can make it work. We just need to find an RV pad with power, sewer and water connections

I think it's a right bright idea myself. It *sounds* like a bad idea when you look at having two kids - but it's a damn sight better than the street and keeps everyone together and warm. Good show there. Hopefully you'll be able to find a pad for around $300/mo (that's about what it would cost at state parks out of season, if you could stay for a month). That would allow you to save up a bit.

Yeah, I emailed today on a private pad that's $300/mo. There are also a few in parks in Milwaukie that are $285/mo, but that's a bit farther than I want to be from Shane's work...
