Can't Stop the Serenity 2008

This was my first Browncoat event and man was it a blast! We ended up being an hour late because we were working on our costumes up to the moment we left. I still had to fix up my weapons and my mom was finishing up my sister's dress which was offically finished at 6:20 Saturday night. We took a few pictures before we left for the event.

Glad you had so much fun and that your friend won the hat! Sorry you didn't place in the costume contest, but we all know these things aren't about how much time you spend on making your costume! ;-) You all look great though!

Thanks! The hat made our night. I still wear it around at home. lol.

It's okay about the contest. I was slightly disapointed but I was glad my friend got 3rd, she's been through alot lately and it really cheered her up. Besides I don't make my costumes to win contests, I do it cause I love it and for me that is enough of a reward. :)

Thank you! I think my sister's costume turned out the best. She looks so beautiful.

Oooh nice! Glad to see you're getting into character *giggle* that's always the most fun part of playing "dress up".

Lol yes! I wish I could stay in character, I have a bit of trouble with that. Kaylee would probably be the better choice for me character wise because then I could just remain myself lol.

I don't know much about Firefly (though one of my best friends is VERY into the fandom, and I hear a lot from her) but all of the costumes are beautiful! Your dress is gorgeous and it looks just like the real thing! All of the rivets must have taken forever... I admire you!

Looks like you guys had a ton of fun! I might just have to see that movie sometime now!

Thank you so much! The rivets took about 40 hours to put on. I had to do it by hand and my hand was hurting so bad after, but it could have been worse.

You need to see it! But I suggest watching the show first then the movie. Even just the first episode. It helps you to know what is going on better.
