Poll What do you know about adpotion?

I've been talking up available animals to friends in case they know anyone interested in adopting from the MSPCA Angell shelter in Jamaica Plain, and a ton of people say, "I had no idea they had x!" If you want the answers, look at my reply or comments.

Yes, the shelter has large birds (currently a Quaker parrot, a lovely blue and gold macaw named Delilah, and the cutest parrotlet in the entire world). And always parakeets, frequently finches and doves.

They often have ferrets. (Look, I'm a hand model! http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22610781) They always have rabbits, guinea pigs, and small rodents (More hand modelling! http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22388683). Chinchillas arrive occasionally, there's one up for adoption now.

We occasionally get lizards or turtles, but I believe they're transferred to another MSPCA shelter because we're not set up for them. I've never seen fish there. And livestock goes to Nevins farm, up north.

Valerian still won't let me adopt a pair of goats :( I've got the kid working on him though...

A kid needs a nanny goat, right? ;-)
