That is very helpful, while I was aware of spiritual communion, I never really had any guidance for it.

I hope that you see the post I derived from your works and posted in my lj, also to Catholic Quotes (as per the quote by the Cure de Aars) and posted also to Holy Eucharist Community. I credited all to you and your lj.

The only prayer I can find my copy of The Catholic Prayerbook which is a collection of prayers, but not the Liturgy of the Hours or the Book of Common Prayer is this ( ... )

I should say that I made *this* post public. I have no ability to use the English language effectively this evening.

Also, there is no set practice for Roman Catholics. Just that lone prayer I quoted.

I know Catholic Quotes reaches many people, Holy Eucharist has a smaller number, but cross posting also in my lj reaches people not on you lj friend's list too. You've done your ministry for this day with your post which benefits us all.

I truly hope and pray for you that your electric stays on. I looked at those photos again from early this morning. I guess your car is buried among them. The part about that I hate most is when you dig your car out and the snowplow comes along and piles a ridge up behind you that quickly turns icy and must be broken loose before you can move. Not to mention that when you return, unless you have assigned parking, your spot will be occupied.

NBC evening news called this the Blizzard of 20076 and a Noreaster. It sounds like the snow has come to an end. I hope the winds don't start up and cause blowing and drifting.

There is also the form from St. Augustine's Prayer Book.

It has been my tendency to read a complete "Liturgy of the Word", then use the Eucharistic Prayer as a meditation, followed by the act of spiritual communion from either SAPB or the Practice of Religion.

I used Prayer D from the Anglican Service Book yesterday, which was unusual. I figured I'd mix it up a wee bit...

St. Augustine's Prayer Book also has a short order for this devotion.

In other news, I have started a "serious" blog over on blogspot. It is phoszoe.blogspot.com, if you're interested.
