Colin Powell endorses Obama.

I'm thinking this carries more weight than Lieberman speaking at the RNC, y/n?

I sure as heck hope so! Have you seen the endorsement? He pretty much calls the Republicans to task for shifting so far to the right, the sort of campaign they're running, choosing Sarah Palin, etc etc. It's almost a revelation.

Also? I will have "We are Siamese" running through my head for the rest of the day, I expect!! ;)

Here's how much of a nerd I am, when I watched his interview on Meet The Press I started tearing up. I only let myself whisper a little "yay" as I'm still feeling stressed and superstitious that somehow the GOP is going to employ some evil dark magic and win this election. Ugh, I cannot wait until this election is over.

I wonder if he'll get a cabinate post. Like Sec. of Def. (since he's already been Sec. of State)

Oh, hells, yeah. :) For one, Lieberman was the Crazy Zell Miller of 2008, as opposed to some kind of principled disillusioned Democrat. And for another, Colin Powell's approval ratings are through the roof and he's got national security cred and he's a Republican and he's staying a Republican and he made his points fantastically. I mean, I would seriously make out with him after watching that. ::g::
