I just had a crazy dream that combined Lost, Superman, Princess Bride and Stargate all in one. It was a little nutty, but fun. I wish I could go back to sleep and continue it.

I watched the birth to twins by c-section today and began to tear up with joy when they began crying. It was amazing

My grandfather went home to be with the Lord yesterday. It is kind of bitter sweet, he will be missed, but he was in such pain at the end and now he is in heaven and at peace.

We had our Christmas service at church tonight and part of the service was the children's choir singing. They were adorable, but my favorite part was when this one little boy, probably four or five years old, in the middle of the song left the other kids and walked up to the front of the stage and just stood there until his dad got up and grabbed ( Read more... )

Dave called HP for me tonight to try to get my laptop fixed (yes, we have been very slow at doing that, but I just got around to moving the essentials onto another hard drive just in case yesterday). Couple of prayer requests for ya'll...first, my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer some months ago and is not doing so well. He has refused treatment for it, which is the right thing to do because there really are no good treatment options for they type of cancer he has. My laptop is official broken right now. Dave says that probably the light in the screen is broken and the button to turn on and off the touch pad seems to be jammed down so that it remains off and is unable to be turned on. My sister-in-law (Dave's sister) had her baby yesterday! Olivia Ann Clark was born at 9:09am at 8lb 11oz and 21.25 inches. I think she is the most adorable baby I have ever seen, but I may be a little biased. I got to hold her for about a half hour as she slept yesterday. I worked my first 11 hour shift yesterday in an Emergency Room, which really ends up being something of like 12 hours because I arrived early and then had to stay twenty minutes late to finish up with the patient I started.
