Long time no post. The latest news is that I've moved to New York, and wow, it's been an adventure. I'm still bleary-eyed and not firing on all cylinders, and soon off to teach for 4 hours (wish my students luck). MediaWest was awesome. The weekend's activities included:

I was recently reminded me of one of my pet peeves about all-women groups: the rituals of politeness and self-effacement that mostly seem silly and pointless to me. Maybe these aren't rituals that only women indulge in -- maybe I just hadn't noticed that men do it too. I don't know.
