So, it seems that Google+ lets us write big, too. Isn't that what LiveJournal was for? The bad news: I think my brain only thinks Facebook-sized thoughts that can fit in < 420 characters now. (I suppose the good news is that I never compressed my brain down to 140-character Twitter-sized thoughts.)
