Today I took a very good friend of mine to St. Rene Goupil Parish to sit in the garden and pray. We stood in front of the gleamming bronze statue of St. Peregrine, It was surrounded by a small garden. We just stood there for a few minutes and took in the beauty of the small garden. When I die, I want light. Don't ask what kind, I just want it, blinding as anything. I want to finally be able to open my eyes and see my Lord, in his Glory, whatever that may be. I want to hear singing. Not angels in heaven, but the voices of those who I would consider angels on earth, they know who they are. Even if they don't have great voices, I want to hear them singing as I meet my maker. And I want to feel love. The love of all those who touched my life and whose life I touched. I want to feel each and every one of them and envision their faces. I want to remain that way forever, with the exception of eventually leaving the bright light to encounter heaven. It has to have rivers, waterfalls, breathtaking landscape and millions of souls, each of whom knows and understands truth as it is revealed to all in heaven. And then I want to remain that way, for all eternity, knowing for sure that daring to live and daring to love, striving every day on earth for the sake of eternal life and eternal life was EXACTLY right.
