well well. i have been back for a few days now from miami. i was there for a meisa conference. (music business) it was great, and it really made me start to think about what i think i want to do and what i know i don't want to do... conclusion= i have no idea. it's sort of a tricky industry to be apart of when you have values that are VERY ( Read more... )

hey jamie!
glad to see you made it back ok :)
it's awesome that you want to go on a mission trip by yourself. i really hope you can!! when i went, i didn't know anyone on my team... it was kinda a struggle at first, but everyone ended up being so nice and eventually i felt comfortable with everyone. it might not be that hard for you because you seem really open with people at first....i think you'd really enjoy it. it's definitely neat to be in a foreign country without any friends. it forces you to look at things differently. which is always nice.
btw, i'd love to pray for you! i do it anyway, but now i have more of an idea of what to pray for :)
so has sean been getting sme good use out of my glasses? :)

God will definitely put you in the right place, you need not worry about that. A mission trip alone, now there's a cool idea. this is inspiring! rock that word of God!

peace, love, and funky jams

Hmm. My good friend and I have talked about this quite a bit before, and she's pretty much in your boat. http://www.nicolechevalier.com/ I suggest you take a look at her sight, and even possibly contact her for some sort of collaboration. Why? I dunno. It just seems like one of those pieces that just falls right onto the board. Plus, you'll see why I think you'd be compatible if you read through the first page, or the bio.

Traveling alone is definitely rewarding, no preconceptions. You're forced to adapt and understand, tangibly identify with the region and its little social nuances. Anyway, whatever you decide to do, good luck--better to be overwhelmed with ambitions than to be comfortable with boredom, life's just too short for that.
