Me me.

I participated in this for two whole people, so I'm comfortable putting it out there for myself.

I want everyone who reads this to ask me 3 questions, no more no less. Ask me anything you want (though I reserve the right to not answer or to answer evasively). Then I want you to go to your journal, copy and paste this allowing your friends (including ( Read more... )

1. What got you into theatre, specifically acting?

1. It may be better to ask what made me want to do comedy, as wanting to do comedy and make people laugh is what took me to the stage. I used to act out Daffy Duck cartoons when I was three, and the physical activity was just so much fun. Being a singer before I was anything else, I signed on to do the yearly musical when I was in seventh grade, the Gershwin tribute "Crazy for You." I just happened to have a really great director, Mrs. Blatt. She taught me (not me specifically) little things - pause for laughs, smile, always be in character, and she said it with such gravity that I knew it was a way of life for her, and, not having a way of life of my own, wanted in ( ... )

1. Rosencrantz or Guildenstern. Also, why?

2. What part can you see yourself getting cast in that you would never accept, barring absolutely ludicrous sums of money being thrown at you?

1) No limits on budget/talent/other resources-- which show would you produce?

2) What's your favorite memory from before the age of 16?

3) When can I get me some more Andy?

1. "Miss Saigon." You almost need a limitless budget to do that show, and I've already been in it and seen it screwed up. After seeing the lengths our director went to to do it wrong, doing it right seems almost easy.
2. First kiss. Age 15. Disney World. Girl I had a massive crush on. Rarely have the stars aligned for me in the way they did that night, before or since.
3. Maybe sooner than you think. I want to get down to DC soon, it wouldn't take much convincing to get me to take a detour. And once "Sweeney" is over I won't have any more play practices. Thanksgiving is a go, as well as Christmas. They're not as far away as they seem.
