Well, I'd come round to tell you in person but I'm sort of afraid you'll throw a book at me.

I didn't get anything.

My mother rang me today and I may have possibly accidentally let slip that we're getting married.

I got my invitation for Saturday, but I noticed it didn't include a plus one. Will I have to come alone or do you truly mean everyone?

I suppose I mean everyone.

If everyone will behave themselves.

Isn't that a bit much to hope for, all things considered?

When one considers history and what happens when we invite everyone, yes, yes it is.

But it wouldn't be my wedding day if there wasn't drama.

It'll be all right though, I've invited quite a few Aurors and lots of my associates.

True. But still, I'm rather honoured that you'd host your reception at the Banshee instead of the Dog. Well, as honoured as one can be to host a gay wedding reception.

I'm getting tired of the sight of the Dog, and besides, I wanted something a bit more upmarket. Not that the Banshee is that much better than the Dog, really.

And you're just jealous I'm not marrying you.

I'm still cross with you for arranging this so quickly that there's been no time for me to plan a wedding shower. I had such plans, you can't imagine!

You mean you haven't planned a surprise hen night? I'm so disappointed!

Since we can't find the phone in the shop, I've not been able to call anyone from work to make plans. So, no surprises for you, I'm afraid. Except for what I'm wearing on Saturday. I'm sure that will surprise you quite a lot!

So I'm going to have to go out and see strippers all by myself?

I'm sure I can manage.
