I didn't realize the Oscars were last night, so instead of critiquing dismal red carpet fashions, Jimena and i were watching a John Malkovich film called The Great Buck Howard. It was meh. Seriously, though, weren't the dresses generally awful, or boring at best? And why is Mickey Rourke trying to be Jack Nicholson with those shades? I guess ( Read more... )

jez was wrong on this one. seriously. i loved the lace sleeve. it made the asymmetrical fashion that everyone was trying to do acceptable.

First of all, I'm not a big fan of asymmetry; somehow it always looks cheesy -- here especially. Second of all, this color (esp on that lace) looked so incredibly dated. I say they were spot on.
