The tension in these chapters was off the chart, but in a good way. At least now we've got April and Andy together, but so much left to resolve. Come on Leslie, Ben's been dropping hints--do your research on Everson.
Definitely worth the wait but please don't make us wait so long next time : ).
oh my heart :( there's something so wonderfully frustrating about the thin line between the truths and the lies here. because chris is right, and telling leslie would be putting her in danger. but he's not lying about his feelings for her, which makes it sadder, and oof. good stuff. thanks for updating.
Oh this is just divine. I love that the most dysfunctional of the three relationships is solved so quickly and easily, while Chris and Ann spin out of control and Ben and Leslie spark and burn out.
Love the tension between Ben and The Truth. The fight he had Chris had in the first half is reverberating in a way that's really got me; the way Ben's dropping hints yet lying his way out of dating yet still wanting her. Dangerous game! Which you know, Ben, and yet here you are, with the heart still wanting what the heart wants.
Really loved the tension of the self-defense seminar. That's hard to pull off with so many people and so many motivations flying around. I could absolutely see April pulling that sort of stunt, and Andy's question to Ben if April really likes Chris was just heart-breaking.
Finally, this line killed me: She's not really kissing me-she's kissing someone I made up.
