By the way, skip 2001. Too much of it was designed to impress with the special effects, which of course by todays standards are hokey and very very dated. Just go read the book instead. For one thing, the book actually has an ending that makes sense...
Exorcist could also be skipped. It's one of those groundbreaking great for when it came out things that just does not hold up well over time. I found it about as entertaining as a guy07 video and slightly less scary.
