I found these quotes online and they are supposedly from an interview between Amos Oz and Ariel Sharon in 1982. They're utterly fascinating. If you replace the words "Zionists" with "Mutants" and "Yids" with the word "X-Men", then Sharon sounds exactly like Magneto ( Read more... )

well, depends what your definition of progressive zionism is. whatever ariel sharon is saying up there - that's not really progressive zionism at all. that's just militant jewish nationalism. a lot of progressive zionists these days are more about cultural zionism, without concern for nation-state borders.

but reading ariel sharon's quotes, i though of magneto because magneto was a Jew in the holocaust and he manifested that into deep hatred. When Sharon was a little boy growing up in Russia, I bet some pogrom fucked him in the ass real bad...
