I had a near-Tanya encounter once. I was working night-shift in a convenience store near Muscle Shoals, Alabama when she was playing in town somewhere. A customer came in and crowed "I kissed Tanya Tucker!" about 5 times.

I never met him but saw him at a distance. My friend, who was the gate agent for his flight, said after he got off the flight nobody noticed him so of course, he had to talk loud and make a scene so everyone could go, "OMG IT'S CAPTAIN KIRK!" He's a piece of work.
