Work is going well. I've been approved for a raise, although it won't go through for a while as we are on a hiring and raise freeze at least through the first quarter. I'm just stoked I still have a job. No layoffs at the factory yet and hardly any cutting of hours. If you want/need hours, they are there

I finished switching my clothes dryer over from a 3 wire setup to a more safe (and up to code) 4 wire - that feels good to have done. My bike is coming along. I've recovered the seat and have begun working on my repaint. It should look (and drive) mint when all is said and done. Pics to be posted when complete. My goal is to have it done by

I have all these icons loaded onto my account! Also, sometime during 2009 this LJ will stop being updated all-together as I'm planning on starting a "family blog" using wordpress with Tasha. That won't happen until I revamp thatraymond.com (lots of good ideas for that one btw).

I finished my first week of work at New Balance. So far, so good. It's a little boring at times, and other times it is really hectic and busy, but hey, it's a job and it pays well and has great benefits. I'm happy overall

2 months, 26 applications and 5 interviews later - I have a job!
I just got hired at New Balance in Skowhegan. I will be part of a value stream (assembly line) making some of the finest athletic shoes in the world. I couldn't be happier! And, after 30 days, I will have health insurance for the first time in 5 years!
