The joys of life are often small and learning to savor them has helped make them stand out and continue to be more notice-able over time. This noticing them has helped cement to me that they were, are, and will continue to be there - even though they are often small and hard to see. -

Home from OVFF. Con was wonderful!! Loved seeing and hearing so many friends close and closer, new and old from near and far. That's all for now as brain and body are fried :). *hugs* -
OVFF - gotten to and immersed in.
OVFF is going wonderfully!! It's cold, cold, cold here but the wonderfulness of connecting with friends both old and newer adds a warmth that makes up for it. Well along with the warm drinks and my open finger gloves/mittens ;). -
Might have found some potential solutions to computer issues....
Might have found an idea, as well as a couple of possible fixes to try that might fix some of my new computer problems. Might decide to ask some of my online mac friends for some advice and which fork to take. Will do a couple more days of research first I think though.... As I was reminded by tollers in a comment, I have many Mac geek friends so I will try to remember to turn to you guys - maybe before blindly following apple-care recommendations. *sigh* - only lost a few files and such in the fiasco. I hate the feeling stupid part of learning curves. Must try to remember how good it'll feel later once I get up to speed... probably ;).
And I am amused once again by the mood icon. It looks like he has a "pig pen" cloud over him *lol*. -
More computer play
More in computer discoveries - switched over to a cobbled together home-made lap-desk and it's definitely eased my long-time dormant but reoccurring carpel tunnel-like problems!! A real one is probably on the list of things to get. Good to know *before* buying a bag for it :)! And it lets me sit in the living room in a comfy chair *lol*. -
As for putting out computer fires I rocked it!
Very good and successful day when all was said and done! Got new network up and running (finally) first got shared internet then eventually got printer to allow itself to be shared *lol*. The printer was the real challenge. Ultimately after a couple of days I finally found a mention online that led me to download bonjour print services for windows ( Read more... ) -

So my most recent adventure (that scarily had to coincide with the great condo selling buying adventure of 2012/2013) was getting a new computer before my old one dies.
