The winners of the Black Quill Award have been announced, and while Frozen Blood didn't win, I can definitely say it was an honour to be nominated. Dark Scribe Magazine is a great source for horror fiction news, so the nomination for my book in the Best Small Press Chill category was cool enough on its own.

No need to shed any tears for my loss,

I keep telling people who bought the Lachesis edition that, thanks to the new deal, it's going to become a rare first edition worth tons of money one day so please stop using it as a coaster.

Thanks much, Greg! Colleen's been freaked out since the weekend. She knows a girl who is/was due the day before her, and she had her baby on Saturday. Kinda made it hit home that this baby is coming, and it's coming soon!
