Yay!! It worked! I used loudtwitter, following these instructions: http://mouser.livejournal.com/379686.html

Took a day or so to start working, but clearly it did. :)
I also added a betwittered thing to igoogle and twitterfox to firefox so I am all plugged in for twittering now.
