Honesty
Over the past few days I'm coming to the realization that honesty is the best policy and that too much honesty isn't a bad thing where relationships are concerned. Forgive me for my idealism but here's what I think.
Your partner is supposed to be your best friend. Think about who your best friend is. Do you tell them everything?- You look hideous ( Read more... )

Pride
Well, today was fun. At least, the first half of the day was.
We woke up and got ready for the Indy Pride parade. I dressed in black.. because nothing says out and proud like a black shirt and jeans. I made it work.

Going to the chapel...
So, as I attend weddings, I'm making mental notes of just what I would like and not like at my wedding when it finally happens. Let's do this as a fancy bulleted list.- No receiving line. It is WAY uncomfortable to those who don't know either your spouse or you. Plus it holds up the line to the reception where, very likely, there is free beer.

In The Navy
So, my nephew is on his way to boot camp this evening. First of all, I remember seeing him in the hospital on the day he was born. I also remember word for word what my brother (the dad) told me as we both were in the waiting room that day. Time for Performance Reviews
In preparation for my yearly review, it has come to my attention that I only completed one goal out of the three that I had set for myself at this time last year. Now, don't get me wrong, I have accomplished a lot over this past year. I have 1/2 a page of things that I have done while still trying to juggle the demands of teaching. Sunday Afternoon
