Time for a State of the Joe update I think

Firstly, posting this from ipad so if some of it looks like gibberish, it probably is. I haven't got the hang of typing on here yet and autocorrect hates me.

As most of you know I have been having gallstone issues and was scheduled for a routine op on 13th to have the gallbladder removed. Those of you who IM me know I was counting the days.

Oh my god!! Oh, Joe. *hugs* That is very, very scary. Oh. My. God.
I am very thankful you are sort of okay. I hope you aren't in too much pain and can get the chest drain out soon. Thinking about you! xxx

I really hadn't realised how bad it was at the time, partly because by the time they diagnosed that it had burst I was pretty badly off. Now I am week and obviously the drain hurts when I move but mostly it's like I'm recovering from flu or something. When the doc started using phrases like 'out of the woods' it really dawned on me how dangerous it was. But we have a good hospital, in Scarborough, I have 3G, and James Martin planned the menus... So it's just a matter of time.

They're making noises about taking the drain out tomorrow and sending me home. I hope so but I believe it when I see it.

Food's delicious!

Thanks hon. One of my good friends asked why my op countdown had vanished and I suddenly realised that a few emails from someone not in any state to plan who they're talking to is not an efficient communication method.

Oh gosh Joe, how awful! It must have been a horrendous experience. Good to hear things have improved a bit. I hope you heal ASAP so they can finally get your gall bladder (or what's left of it) sorted.
Take it easy, sweetie, and get well soon.
*hugs*

A prayer for healing and lighting a candle as well.

I remember gall stones and feeling better after it was removed.

Thank you. Yeah I was looking forward to the op as I know it fixes you right up. Sadly my gallbladder had other plans
