dilemma

hey everyone...joe here. im kinda stuck. i need your help. this is a really bad place to be...ok, here it goes:

I have hired to be in a traveling show for elementary schools in St. Johns. it pays and it pays good. i signed a contract during the summer agreeing to do this so i am stuck. two of the shows conflict with two tech rehearsals for Joseph.

It's not a question of what you should do but what you need and want to do.

I've been there. We're pretty equal on the 'business in school' factor, so I completely understand.

You CAN juggle all of those things if you try really hard, but you need to decide if personally you want to have nervous breakdowns and spend all of your sleep time for homework. Although, you're lucky it's your sophomore IB year. It'll be harder Junior year.

hey Joe, it's Crystal. I say...as much as I hate to say it...drop Joseph....maybe you could occasionally do tech and hang out with the not good enough kids? But do what you think is right. We don't want you to drop dead sophomore year.

I agree with Crystal, in that that's a whole crapload of stuff. If dropping Joseph is needed to keep you sane, then so be it. Because I like my Joe healthy and not brain-dead. There'll be other shows (Footloose!).

I agree with Crystal and Diana. You have the same problem that I do with making your plate too full. Do what play that you're heart will be in the most. I still think you should casually help out with tech (ahem, costumes) so you can still be part of the play, but I wouldn't overwhelm yourself with being part of the cast of Joseph.
