The Great American Move-Out!

Yesterday, I bought my bedding... it is really cute; navy blue with white, green, and pinkish-red flowers.  I am really excited about it.  Today, I am going to check out a potential bed.  For the first time in my life, I will have a Queen-sized bed.  And it is also the first time that my bedroom will be big enough for a Queen-sized bed

Having bought two IKEA beds on price alone . . . I wouldn't really recommend their bed frames. I think you'd be better off if you got something else, even if it costs a bit more.

Actually, re-reading your post, it looks like you're not going to IKEA for your bed frame. Good work.

I'm actually looking to get rid of my mattress and boxspring - want me to leave it for you? I might ask a nominal fee of some sort, but it'll be cheaper than a new bed...

In fact, I'm downsizing a bunch of stuff (desk, printer stand, small TV, bookshelves and more), so let me know what you're interested in, and perhaps we can come to some sort of arrangement. Pre-moved-in furniture! Awesome!

Sweet... I'd like to see what you have. As for the mattress and box spring, my mum is buying my bed, so I have to touch base with her before I tell you one way or the other... but I may be interested in bookshelves and a desk :) We should meet up sometime very soon - to hang out and to see about stuff.

are you looking for mattresses? I got mine at Big Lots. Queen. and I luuuuuuuurve my bed! They have some pretty good deals. I don't know if there's one near you (the one I go to is in Danvers). And then there's an outlet furniture store next to it where you can find a desk and coffee tables.
I get way too overwhelmed in IKEA. That place stresses me out. I've gone twice and both times I was on the edge of hiding in a corner rocking back and forth.
