i am in love with muji, the japanese clothing and home goods company. they have several stores in bangkok and i visited it a few times over the week. they just opened a store in new york. they're kind of like japanese ikea, plus clothes. the design is minimal, neutral, and thoughtful. dare i say it, it is very zen. the prices are very reasonable as ( Read more... )

i think i may have adult-onset shellfish allergy. which would be a damn shame since i loooove shellfish and crustaceans. we went to a place about 40 mins outside bangkok that has fresh water prawns the size of your arm. they simply slice it in half and grill it. friggin superb ( Read more... )

this is the pool deck of the villa we're staying in. the resort is ridiculously posh. the dsl is sloooow, but that's about the only complaint i have (cuz i would have liked to upload some pics). that, and we have to leave tomorrow :(

i'm a new owner of rebel xt! on saturday, we went to national camera exchange and got a used 28-300 tamron lens to go with it. the range is great. the autofocus is mostly great in well-lit area and not so great in low light. i haven't seen the photos on proper monitor yet (card reader coming in the mail) but the sharpness seems to vary a bit ( Read more... )
