In 30k every Legion has unique traits, and they're not always obvious. As an example, the Blood Angels and Imperial Fists were present during the Siege of Terra, and in the lead up to that conflict received larger amounts of "new" equipment. Wrapping up some new models for a Don't Look Back scenario this month. This one will involve the players on a lobster boat off the east coast, responding to a distress call from a container ship, only to become the next victom of the giant shark that sank the prior ship.

Still working my way through a squad of 30k tactical marines. Tacticals are apparently good in the current edition, but some Legions focus more on assault than shooting, and that means they would be better off with assault marines. But, that's tricky; MK VI tactical marines are available at a real bargain right now, but they only come with bolters ( Read more... )

Today I noticed, that test squad of Blood Angels actually looks better when I don't have the lamp I used to paint them pointed at them and turned to maximum brightness. Still looks blurry though, I need to buy a phone made this decade, or get better at taking pictures.

So, I was lucky enough to marry a really cool woman. First, she puts up with my miniature collecting nonsense. Second, she participates in it with me.
