I had one of the better Halloweens in recent history. Maybe it had something to do with having friends and activities for that time, but I was very pleased. Spent the day sewing. At some point it dawned on me that I have no nice things to wear and no money with which to purchase them. Therefore, I raided mom's fabric closet (she doesn't use any of it anyway) and now have partially fulfilled grandiose plans. They include 3-4 shirts, a pair of bermuda shorts, and a couple of skirts. I had my interview for the temporary technician position at Stanford today. All I have to do is take blood pressure readings. This is just for October and is not technically in my field (psychology study), but gives me sort of a foothold at Stanford as well as a reference there. I feel good about this.
