Ah, yes, repeats of Michael Palin and Eric Idle's appearances on SNL were some of the highlights of my youth--especially my freshman year of high school, which was when the full measure of the genius and glory of Python truly hit me. For a kid who was mired in sadness and isolation, their brand of whip-smart silliness was absolutely a lifeline, no question. (Also, the reason I burst into laughter when I was in the UK and saw keep-left signs for the first time.)

Okay, I hafta ask, what is up with alla Michael Palin love lately? I mean, not that I object, but you're like the third friend to rhapsodize about him thusly in the past few days, and as I said to the last one, "Srsly? That's like saying Dave Foley is your favorite Kid in the Hall! C'mon, everyone always likes the cute one best!!" ;)

(BTW, you've heard about Death Comes To Town, right? I still haven't heard anything about if/when it'll be shown in the U.S., dammit.)
