I hope no one back home takes offense to this, just god damn I never fully understood the kind of friendship I have made here on Kadena. I am of a loss of words here, but the friendship/brotherhood that they have shown tonight just brings it so much out of perspective that I can barely describe

I know what you mean, total strangers that you would normally otherwise have no reason to be around suddenly grow on you and you on them to the point of brotherhood. But what binds you and them is not what bound you to the group. Where the group have shared interests, you guys have a shared enemy(not just THE enemy but anything you have to go through together [i.e. military crap]). We are lucky to be able to experience this side of humanity.
