"YAY!" for seeing and hearing from a fellow dog lover on here!!! :D Especially since it's YOU, Meredith! :D *hugs* I thought that most (if not, all) of m'dear ol' f-list was all about Cats Cats Cats though. *lol* Thank goodness I was mistaken. :) ~Sharma
Heh, yes. IKR? I don't get why but everyone on here seems to be cat people. And I am sooo not a cat person. I wouldn't say I dislike them, but I definitely do not like them. Dogs however... gods, yes. :) ♥
Sexy Detective John Sheppard iz sexy! In other words, ICON WUV!!! :D
But - yah - I don't hate cats either. It's just that I haven't had too many good feline experiences to balance out all the bad ones. Unprovoked attacks upon my person by a certain white cat scarred me for life.
But - dogs? They are just LOVE SPONGES! :D Or at least most of them are. Which is more than I can say about CatKind. Ah, well. No big loss. All the cats that I won't get will no doubt be snapped up by all the CatLovers on my list. So, no worries, m'dear awesome-y Meredith. EVERYBODY WINS! :D
I HAVE actually met my cat, Maria. He just happens to belong to someone else right now. *considers catnapping Elvis the black cat from a cat-and-dog-overcrowded house down the way a bit*
The house of which I speak has an extended family of five persons that own a mind-numbing total of 6 cats and 2 big dogs. And it's not even that big of a house either. Nor is there an attached big yard. So, I'm sure they wouldn't miss one little kitty. *lol*
Look, Maria, I'm not just gonna go out there and kidnap someone else's cat, just because I KNOW that it's my pet-tastic soul mate and NOT theirs. That would be selfish of me.
Well...I was ALWAYS more of a dog person...until we got a cat back in 1994. Then I became a cat person (especially when you go by how loud, needy, and smelly dogs can be). I'm on my second cat now, named Mocha (RIP Midnight), and he's just the most awesome cat ever. He's very into cuddling, and snuggling, whereas my first cat was VERY independent. Mocha would rather be around humans than alone, and Midnight was the opposite. He likes to climb on top of us while we're laying in bed, and sprawl out. I have never seen a cat as affectionate as Mocha is; it's more like he's a little dog.
If I was going to get a dog...it would HAVE to be a Doberman Pinscher. Favorite dog EVER. I don't DO little dogs, though; if you're going to have a dog, it needs to be a BIG dog. My ex had a chihuahua and I HATED that thing. Well, okay, I liked it enough to try and scare it every time I was over at his house. Scaring Frankie was my hobby. I am going to hell in a hand basket, surely. :D
My sister-in-law-to-be's cat is like your adorable Mocha. She is a love sponge. It's kinda weird really. I think she picked up the snuggle/cuddle trait from my brother's dog, Brutus, though. He's a BIIIIG German Shepherd/Boxer/Rotti mix, but he's the sweetest thing evah (also biggest thing evah, but that one's kinda obvious, given the breeds he's a part of). So, now, my brother and Kirsten have TWO lapdogs for the price of one. *lol*
I really like Jack Russells and Beagles, but that is as small as I will ever get in dog size. And I love black and brown labs and the mix that Brutus is. Ratdogs (aka Chihuahuas) though? They can go find another playpen far away from me to play in. They look like furless cats or giant rats. And they yip and nip like they are always being electrocuted and your fingers are carrots. And if that's what I wanted in a dog, then I might as well get a hamster instead and just be done with it.
Yeah, it IS dog-like behavior, because cats are usually so independent! But I can't complain; I love my cuddle bunny (my cat, I mean; NOT Lerlock...though that IS one of my nicknames for him that he, for some reason, INSISTS never leaves the bedroom...oops).
Aw, Brutus sounds like MY KIND OF DOG! Yeah, if my cat can eat your dog, then he's too small. My neighbors have two little yappy dogs, and I swear, I just want rip my ears off when they're outside. UGH. DNW.
I actually WAS indeed thinking you meant Lerlock when you were talking about cuddle bunnies. Oh, and on a related note?
I don't know if you knew this, but RDJ compared himself when he was on-set of the Sherlock sequel, to a highstrung cat on the ceiling that had to constantly be calmed down and coaxed back to the ground. And guess who was the only successful coaxer? Nope. Not Susan. It was Judesie aka RDJ's Watson. ;) So, it looks like Robert was in need of several sessions of cuddles himself after that harrowing filming process was over. *lol*
I only wish I had a pic of Brutus that I could share with you. He is prolly THE most fun-loving and friendly BIIIIIIG dog that I've ever seen. :D He can even sense moods and will try and comfort you if you're sad or celebrate with you when you're happy or excited. He's just BRILLIANT, really, Laura. :D At least for a dog. ;)
Thanks for the videos AND all of these adorable pics that you've posted, Traci. :) I DO have a conundrum though. You apparently know how to post pics and links into your comments to various entries. And I do not. *pout

Small dogs are okay. As long as they're not Chihuahuas, cuz those look like rats or furless cats more than dogs. And if I want a dog, I want a D-O-G that LOOKS like a D-O-G
