The Smiths were barely mentioned, mate. I think I remember he said something about me at the end, though. Interesting movie, very strange, but interesting, rather like Manchester.

I agree the film wasn't very expansive and only covered a very small percent of the bands that helped to sculpt Manchester into what it was, and what it is now. The movie, regardless of the short monologue part "Tony Wilson" gave declaring against it, was about him and his influence on the scene and the recording industry at the time. Which honestly wasn't much for that latter part. I give him credit, he was pioneer of sorts, but a shite businessman. Well all have our faults though.

Just wait, one day someone will be shoving papers in your face asking to do a film about you and The Smiths. If my daughter follows through with her hobby of making home movies it might be her showing up on your doorstep with a script. Haha.

Haha. At least let her get through college first, then we'll discuss contracts. Nothing written in blood - I'd like to think Jamie won't grow up to be quite that pretentious, but with me as a father... Ha.

Hmmm. I suppose that's a way of looking at it. Or one could say he did a great deal to us in the end. And for the record, I have no idea what I'm on about and am simply starting debate for the sake of it, and out of boredom.
