Southern Odyssey, Part I

Unfortunate events recently compelled me to journey into some of our nation's southern states. I was born in Texas and spent many of my formative years in Louisiana so I was not unfamiliar with the terrain but it occurred to me that many of you may be, so below I have provided some brief musings on a few of the jewels in the U.S.'s southern crown ( Read more... )

Perhaps the t.p. tail was an accoutrement to signify trade, like a chef's hat, or a superhero's cape.

My family is mostly deep South, and I'm from Texas, too. Congratulations on making your escape... to just outside the murder capitol, right? Stupid doesn't run rampant up there.

I escaped to Washington, D.C. which used to be the murder capitol. Ironically, a few years after I left Louisiana New Orleans became the new murder capitol of the U.S. I can only assume that everyone was very upset that I left. I would kill people too. Watch your ass.

The South could possibly be "The Armpit" of the USA. We keep attempting to apply a cheap deoderant to make it smell nicer, but all it really does is increase the funk.

The south has its good points, too. For instance, the southern chapters of the Klan are much more enthusiastic and festive. And as for food; you yankees cook the way Canadians fuck (i.e. blandly).

I was born in Grand Prairie, Texas. "Wherebouts ya'll from?" That's muh southern voice. . .hmmm, I guess the first part of this sentence was also southern. I'm fixin' to stop writing now.
