getting older is not feeling so good any more. i have lost the confidence of youth, lost who i am, in a way. i used to be kinda crazy, but now i'm just boring and unsure. i envy all you twenty-somethings. i hope when you hit 30 you don't lose yourself.

sometimes youth gives one a false sense of cool...almost everyone gets a "default" chance to be cool from 17-26...if yer not cool then, something is wrong...the people that are actually cool, are just always fucking cool...cool is timeless, it isn't about the sunglasses, or the hair, or the jeans, it is about the person....

johnny cash, siouxsie, excene, helen thomas, hunter s.thomspson, frida kahlo, salvador dali, joan jett, janeane garafalo,cindy sherman, betsey johnson...the girls from "manic panic", diane arbus, dorothy parker...etc, etc...you know cool when you see it in a person over 30... there is no guessing, a cool person after 30 is actually cool! don't envy 20 somethings, sleep with 'em!...sure, they have less lines, but also less stories...all ages are to be celebrated, revel in it...the 30's have to be my all time favorite...I will be 45 in a couple weeks....now baby, that is age-in ;) Don't lose yerself, lose yer worry of others and BE YOURSELF! xoxox b
