I completely agree. Every time I get on an airplane, the number of things that could go wrong and the chances of survival if something does seizes me.

I have to have a window seat with the window up. I have to watch it rise and land. I usually pass out and sleep for as much of it as I can, pulling all my limbs up and curl into a ball. My headphones are always on, always loud. I can't stand the sounds.

A phobia of flying has always made sense to me. I don't have one myself, probably because I've flown frequently since I was a very young baby and have therefore grown up with it.

Thankfully, aeroplanes are the safest way to travel! I know it doesn't often feel like that, though.
