Call for Quotes

This is probably a terrible idea.

I'm relaunching my web site in December, and I have a section called "applause," where I'm including quotations from all kinds of people, generally about my writing. Bwaaahaha! Did I tell you that I woke up in the middle of the night and Bradley's and my beard had velcroed together. Most disturbing night of the tour. Hands down.

yes, that's what made me think of it. :) That image is one of the best from my touring poet mental images files. It's right up there with CR Avery putting his socks on his ears. But I think it's the only one I have in my head that I didn't actually see myself.

"JM Huscher's writing has inspired me in the way that I tell him I like a line (and there have been many) or an image and he tells me use it if I can. What I'm saying is he's my ghost writer." Dain Michael Down- Founder of The Strengthening Project

I'm embarrassed to leave a "real" comment...but I'm a stuffy academic. :0)
"J.M. Huscher has the ability to perfectly capture the feeling of a moment in a few spare words, and in the carefully crafted space around those words. His writing evokes powerful, complex feelings and images, and those images have the power to linger with us for a long time, as our minds inevitably return to them again and again. Reading Huscher's work is a great pleasure."

Miss you--and have much to tell you! I am leaving for Argentina on Saturday to do research for my dissertation. I have the opportunity to interview torture survivors from secret prisons in Buenos Aires during the Dirty Wars, and I also have a chance to meet with and interview several of the Madres de la Plaza de Mayo. Heavy stuff, but also incredibly exciting!

"JM Huscher? I coached that guy once. Wouldn't take off his shirt for points. Bastard. What I'm saying is he has integrity... and a nice body. Also, he writes stuff." -Kat Sanford, Queen of Awesome
