it boils down to honesty, imo. friends and family who are honest with each other are not going to always be nice to each other, or feign politeness when they're feeling something else all-together. if i'm pissed off or someone is pissed off at me, i want to know. i may not take it well to begin with, but like you, give me a bit of time and i'll figure out if it's ultimately ok, or the final line has been crossed.

If this is about what I think it's about (tattoo), the problem just might be a difference in confrontation styles. If it's not about that, ignore the next part...but two dinners in a row, a friend of yours expressed her displeasure over your exuberance in showing off your tattoo with chiding comments.

In my experience, that's generally how Virgos communicate their displeasure, at first. Then, if the subtle or not-so-subtle hints are not taken, eventually they explode. Meanwhile, Leos usually don't get "hints" very well...Leos need to be told expressly and in no uncertain terms what the problem is, or they won't see that there is a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong...or ignore me altogether if you're talking about something totally different. :)

it's actually not about that one...well, not JUST that one...but that one wasn't the 90% focus....so....yeah.

making chiding comments and hints is not confrontation. it's passive-aggressive BS...which i also see as disrespectful, but sometimes people don't realize when they're doing it because of their lack of their ability to accept responsibility for their own actions...or LACK of action. not being mean, but it's a hard lesson to learn, and it's harder to understand that when you don't act in a certain manner, or do something then you can cause your own issues.

I hope this isn't about the "letter" that I wrote in my LJ. That was about a girl that I met a few years ago via IRC and she has recently made a reappearance in my life. She's bringing up old things and I'm trying to be nice about it, but it's getting on my nerves now.
