I'm new to the community. I've noticed that there hasn't been a post in quite some time and thought I would give it a go. Maybe it would spark up some conversation ( Read more... )

It's good to see someone post. I joined about two months ago, but didn't seem any recent entries so I figured the community was dead.

So which of those books that you've read is your favorite?
=)

They're all great, it's hard to choose! yayhappens January 6 2004, 01:19:08 UTC
It's difficult to say...they are all different parts of life's processes, and where I was in life when I read them plays a major factor too...

I guess that if I had to choose one I'd choose "Illusions"...It represents the first steps of making major change to me, and the fear of letting go of things.

Yours?

It definitely is hard to choose. I think Illusions was spectacular, but for me it was One that cemented everything in place. My father and I had been philosophizing for quite some time on a similar vein, and to see someone else put those thoughts into print... it really made me believe in Tink!

I've been a member for ages, and haven't seen anyone post.

Ok, so I think that there can't be any such thing as a "favorite" Bach book. They're too interrelated and linked together.

However, Jonathan Seagull is absolutely one of my favorites.

And _Bridge Across Forever_ is absolutely the definitive book about love and marriage and soulmates.

_One_ is great to think about that idea of visiting yourself at different points in times.

And I love the simple message in _There's no such place as faraway_.

And of course _Illusions_ is brilliant. I can't believe that Shimoda isn't a real person. *sigh*

I love all of his books. Strangely I owned Bridge across forever for over 2 years before i read jonathan livingston seagull, and realized that i'd had one of his books this whole time. I've since read all of his works and my life has been changed dramatically. If more people thought as this man does, then the world would be such a more beautifull place.

To read these books again at another place in your life teaches you a new lesson. I have loved his books since I started reading them in like eigth grade when I was like 13. He flys and he writes, those are the things I've always wanted to do. I'm nearly 21 now and each time I read these books they change my life. I share them with everyone I possibly can, and because of it I have found happiness time and again for myself. The man is brilliant and I would love to hear him lecture but I would be afraid that it might destroy the wonderful feeling I have about him and his work. Bach is great.
