"Ragnarok and Roll" is one of the successful results of that experiment, I think.

Those were good!

Man, up until the series got retooled into a zany Slimer-fest, they had some surprisingly mature episodes for the time. My personal favorite was the one where sly, sarcastic Peter (before they recast him with that "Full House" twit) does an out-of-character act of charitable compassion for a reason that gave him far more depth than just "the guy who quips".

(Or in later seasons, "the guy who mostly is a foil for Slimer")

Dang, I fogot how well drawn and animated this show was. I really used to love it back then when I was a wee cub.

Hard to believe it came from DIC, isn't it? By 80s US TV animation standards (and certainly by DIC's standards) it's almost lavish.

Seriously. I used to love US toons back in the 80's. Ghostbusters, Bionic Six, Thundercats, Transformers, Silverhawks, Jem... ahhh, the nostalgia.

Nowadays, it's all about the Teen Titans and all that kiddy crap. BP
