First run stats

Finally went for that first run so I can finally write in my LJ about it. I guess I'm sort of where I want to be. My goal was to run 3 miles in 30 minutes, give or take a minute. I ended up running 3 miles in 00:32:42. Not great but I feel it's decent for where I'm at. This is what my splits ended up looking like ( Read more... )

I had a personal trainer tell me to run heel to toe and when I do my knees ache. So I'm trying to not do that.

I've noticed that too so I'm going to try running with the ball of my foot or midfoot like unlikelyathlete said and see how my knees feel after my next run.

This is exactly the kind of information i'm looking for. I want to know the proper way to run while I'm still beginning so I don't develop any bad running habits.
