Yikes! 1000 words a day is amazing with a schedule as busy as yours. I'm impressed. Keep up the great work.

I'm in awe that you've been doing 1,000 words a day at the same time as all those speaking engagements! That is fantastic!

I launched a book this weekend!!!!! It was amazing. I haven't done much on edits and I started NaNoWriMo. I have more laundry than a laundry mat and I'm pretty stinkin' tired. Life is pretty good. Off to catch up on everything. :o)

Oops! That doesn't sound good. Hope things settle down and you can get lots of writing done.

Thanks. It's just that every fall I commit to JoNoWriMo with plans to revise a novel and every fall I get derailed by picture books under contract--not that I'm complaining about the picture books under contract, but in SOME LIFE I'd like to have a novel ready for submitting.

I'm still waiting to hear back from my agent on my WIP before I can start rewriting it, but I've written a few thousand words of a new novel as well as doing my freelance work, so...I feel like I'm doing okay! (Although obviously I'm going through major nerves right now.)

You are doing more than okay, Steph! I think it's amazing that you've started another book in addition to the freelance work. And the WIP is wonderful!

I met my main JoNo goal today! After some intense revision, I sent off the 2nd Chantress book to my agent and editor. And it's in ahead of deadline, which I wasn't sure I could do! *cheers, then collapses*

Once I've recovered, I need to figure out what to focus on next. I want to sketch out more of book 3, but I can only go so far until I get feedback on book 2. So I will probably do some research on book trailers in the meantime (can I do one? should I? etc.).

Rooting for everyone here! You are a wonderful inspiration. And many thanks to Jo for bringing us together!

Congratulations on meeting your main goal. It must feel great. Research on trailers sounds like a smart idea. Hope you share the results. Good luck with book 3.

Thanks, Barbara! If I learn anything useful about trailers, I'd be glad to share!

Excellent work meeting your goal, Amy! It will be interesting to see what you discover about trailers.

Yay for your progress!
