A river ran through pine woods. Time passed.

It became a canyon a thousand feet deep. Wandering people explored it. They found something. It was visible through a place in the canyon wall where the red rock had collapsed. It was simply a smooth, silver surface. An area about eight feet wide and ten feet tall showed.
