As most of you know, Jack has been quite sick with feline lymphoma.  Last night, Ron and I made the decision to put him to sleep.  His kidneys and liver were shutting down, and we couldn't allow him to suffer anymore.  We were there with him when he went.

He was a beautiful, intelligent cat, and he brightened my life for more than twelve years.

So over the last few weeks Ron and I have taken Jack to the vet three times.  He's been having intestinal issues.  They found a mass in his colon.  It hasn't moved (which means it's not stool).  After three sets of x-rays and an ultrasound, they've concluded it's probably cancer.  They sent a sample off to the lab to find out what kind ( Read more... )

I love my job.
