I can't believe how exhausting work has been. I'm about to go to bed.

However, I did get home two hours earlier than what has recently become 'usual' and so I am not as resentful of this as I might be ...

Just a note to say to anyone trying to get in touch that I've forgotten my mobile phone charger. I'm spending a few days in the Highlands and now my battery needs charged. Oops. I am staying in a nice, small town not too far from Inverness and I won't be contactable for a while yet. I have had internet access for these 15 minutes only. Sorry.

So I went to the doctor's today and came away not with swine flu, I hope - the Glasgow outbreak is in the immediate vicintiy - as my colleagues had joked but with inhalers. I'm ill. Been up all night throwing up - no idea why, as anyone who has eaten what I've eaten at work and not is fine.

Yesterday was a horrible, tiring, complicated day and I was relieved to get home and go to bed. Nothing that should have made me vomit, though?

... when I can't sleep and I'm off work and have had laryngitis and a little more time on my hands all of a sudden, that I wonder how everyone's doing. God, I'm hopeless with my money. Partly poor memory and partly poor organisation. What are all these deductions about? Which insurance policy is which? I have everything together for safekeeping but I still don't know what's what. It's like my brain shuts down whenever I see anything related to finances. Gah.

It's official. I've become nocturnal. I haven't been able to sleep at all, yet, and not even the usual remedy - alcohol - has helped. Going to try now, but I hope I don't sleep all day.
