So, back in the day, when I had little or no impulse control, I did a not-so-nice thing to someone. Having access to her yearbook proof photo, I drew a gap between the front teeth of of a high school nemesis. And that's how it went to the publisher...and how it appeared in our senior yearbook. Now, I can justify it by saying that she was ( Read more... )

Once Janet and I were walking home from school with Shelly Dripps and we saw this girl named Leslie who lived next door to Shelly's boyfriend. Leslie was really kind of dorky and akward looking and she had a crush on David (Shelly's boyfriend) and Shelly started calling her names. Then Janet joined in and then I did. She was walking about five feet ahead of us the entire time and she started crying but Shelly kept on saying mean things to her. Janet and I stopped, but after that anytime Leslie saw me she just put her head down and walked away, really sad. I still feel bad about that. I don't even know why Shelly hated her in the first place. She was so harmless but I actually think about Leslie a lot. I feel really guilty for doing that to her because I'm sure she didn't have a very good high school experience and we only made it worse ( ... )

That's pretty sad.
I take consolation in the fact that Cheryl was a raging bitch. I don't know if you remember her, but she's the one that Betty nearly got into a fight with at my 16th birthday party. You know your a bad person when Betty doesn't like you!!

The image of Betty busting out the pimp hand made me pee myself a little.

Even though I feel a teeny bit guilty, I still think it's mostly pretty funny. Especially since somehow she managed to use the same picture--gap tooth and all--as the photo announcing her engagement in the newspaper just after graduation.

Hey - I stole a mini-stapler from Jimmy Mika in the 4th grade and I still get flashback guilt about it. (I remember helping him look for it - all the while having it in my pocket! - and him saying his dad was going to be mad.)

I sometimes wonder why in the hell I stole it, and if I should just find out where he lives and send him a replacement to ease my conscience.
