Today started out pretty good. Went to the barn and cleaned stalls, talked to the horses... Then I saw Larry, who told me that Prize, a beautiful black Tennessee walking horse, had been put down this morning at the Big E in Springfield due to a broken rear leg. Prize was my all time favorite mare. She was graceful and just stunning to watch.
