There's a strike today in Tegucigalpa because the gas prices rose $1.00 per liter (2.2 Liters per gallon) a few days ago. The people here are so poor that such an increase in gas prices will put them out of work and out of their homes. Okay, so I turned 23 on Monday (happy birthday to me) and realized that after I return from Tegucigalpa, I'll be 25! Ahh!

I've been looking for a job for the last two weeks because I finally figured out that I HATE substitute teaching. I hate it even more than onions, which is saying a lot because I really hate onions. Today I substitute taught in a TLC class, which is composed entirely of children with behavioral disorders. It went well for a while until the paraprofessional teacher left and then it turned pretty much into chaos. I felt like a failure in the teaching profession. I'm at Mt. Tahoma High School right now substitute teaching for Mr. McHenry. I would best describe the experience as REALLY boring babysitting. Except I'm getting paid a lot. Anyway, thought I should try to set this thing up and figure out what I'm doing to keep in contact with everyone.
