  • Yesterday I woke up at 8:45 in the morning to wait around in the cold lobby of a strange apartment building for an hour. A friend of mine from high school was visiting his brother in Toronto and wanted to meet up before he left. We decided the night before that since we knew I was coming at 10 o'clock and I knew how to get there I'd just show up ( Read more... )

Regarding your "friend", situation, yuck. I'm sorry that it ended up so crappy and the person was being inconsiderate. But on the bright side, as you said, there strangely is good here after all, and I guess we just have to squint until they appear, right?

Also, I really love your bulleted entries, and yes, it totally was the statue we had tea with. Gosh, I miss folkfest weekend. And yes, until this very day, everytime I/we listen to "dance 4 love", I/we say "man, I wish Joy were here to dance 4 love". No joke. <3

Yes thank you! I sometimes forget that there is good here after all indeed.

Awww really? I also miss Dancing 4 Love. It's no fun by myself...

Okay, I seriously dislike this male friend of yours. I think that is one of the worst feelings in the world, waiting. On top of that, I'm a pretty awful waiter. I would have been so mad, although I do find the thirty second silence amusing.

I laughed out loud at the Famous Five monument thing (how funny is that?!?), and then at the memory of us trying to figure out whether or not it would be possible to pole dance on the spider's legs.

Yeah waiting definitely sucks. The thirty seconds was kind of amusing. It may have even been longer. I remember I was at a red light and it was long but I just refused to say anything because I wanted him to feel awkward. I think it worked.

Ha! Oh that spider. We are able to find amusement in such small things....
