QUICK! Someone in Toronto (or elsewhere if you can get here!) come see the Weakerthans with me tomorrow night at Harbourfront! This is entirely necessary because:

1) It's free!

I'm going with my friend and her boyfriend, so if you wanted to hook up with us we're probably heading into Toronto from Hamilton around 4:00 so we'll be thereish around... 5:00 or something and then just hanging around and stuff.

LMAO. I agree on all counts! I think what I will do is just go to the festival and maybe swing by the concert if the urge strikes me. So perhaps if you end up going and I end up going I will see you then! And if not then wtf I'll see you in like a week anyway. :P Thanks for the heads up on this though! Just knowing that they're in the city makes my day a little brighter (or something).

I seriously hope you didn't end up missing this, Joy! I was all bummed out about missing this show, and would have been even more upset if it wasn't for Hillside. (John K made up for his absence at the festival this year by making a special appearance the next night to fanboy over The Constantines, but still. It wasn't the same!)

Don't worry, I didn't miss it! Although, my friend dawdled, forcing me to hear One Great City and Our Retired Explorer in transit (AKA running over the bridge to the venue) and not get as close to the stage as I would have liked to. It was still great, though. I heart John K so so much. And collectively they just crack me up.
