Hmmm... the old farmers rule of thumb around here is that if the cows are huddled in a close group, standing or lying down, it supposedly means rain is coming... Ive noticed that this is usually true, especially if they are under trees... but then again, this just proves that cows are stupid lol.

I had a fish jump out of it's tank once before a pretty sizable earthquake. 5 point something. And before the huge Northridge quake, my cat wouldn't leave me alone. We live in San Francisco now with no pets. We're sure to die in the next big one.

Oh my god.

Me too.

I had a science kit thing that was all about earthquakes when I was probably in 5th grade (so I probably should have already thought it through), and I was so excited about it. I ran and told my dad we probably would never have to worry about earthquakes, wasn't that great.

And he kinda yawned and said, just wait till you get the hurricane kit next month.

They covered important topics like the hole in the ozone layer (which we never hear about anymore. I have a feeling "Global Warming" will be the same thing), weather phenomenon, science issues, and conserving water.

Well, the excitement about the hole in the ozone when we were children was that it had just been discovered. We still study the hole in the ozone. You just don't hear about it as much.

I live in the Bay Area where earthquakes are our thang. I was in the 89, etc. And I have the same thing. Everytime its windy out but the tops of the trees don't move, I think "Shit, earthquake is coming."
